The founding pilot · what 12 weeks looks like

Your campus · a 12-week pilot

Most placement cells run on spreadsheets and rationed faculty hours. The pilot's job: by week twelve, every CS student has a defensible readiness score, and your placement board has numbers to act on.

The challenge

Placement readiness was a guess, not a number.

The typical TPO has a few hundred students per cohort and no objective signal of who is interview-ready. Tracking lives in spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups; faculty hours get rationed by reputation, not data. Every recruitment drive feels like a coin-flip. That's the problem the pilot exists to remove.

The approach

Three changes. Twelve weeks.

01
Story-lessons mapped to AICTE syllabus

Faculty mapped CodeStory chapters to the existing CS curriculum in one 90-min session. No retraining, no rip-and-replace.

02
Weekly AI mock interviews

Every student recorded 3 mock interviews per week. The AI tutor scored on technical depth, communication, edge-cases, and time discipline.

03
One score per student, one dashboard

Placement officer saw a live readiness band per student — green/amber/red — and could escalate the right cohort to the right faculty.

The outcome

What changed in one semester.

  • One readiness score per student, updated weekly — usable in placement reviews from week 4
  • First-round clearance tracked against your previous batch as the headline metric
  • Every mock interview recorded, scored and reviewable by faculty
  • Escalation lists — who needs which faculty intervention, refreshed weekly
  • A written outcomes report at semester end, co-signed by both teams — publish it or bin it, your call
What other placement teams say

Same story. Different campuses.

Spoken mock interviews are the wedge — solving silently was never the failing skill. Explaining is.
